Healing Through Sound, Vibration & Breath

Sound healing offers a quiet space to slow down, reconnect with your body, and experience deep relaxation through sound, vibration, and breath.

Using instruments such as gongs, singing bowls, chimes, and other resonant tones, these sessions create immersive sound environments that invite the nervous system to settle and the mind to become still. Many people experience sound healing as a deeply calming and restorative practice that supports meditation, presence, and overall well-being.

Whether experienced in a group soundbath or an individual session, sound and breath can gently guide you into a state of rest where the body and mind have an opportunity to reset.

Please note: Sound healing sessions, soundbaths, and breathwork offered here are wellness services and are not psychotherapy or mental health treatment. If you are seeking psychotherapy services, please visit the therapy sections of this website.

What is sound Healing?

Sound healing is a meditative wellness practice that uses vibration and tone to support relaxation and presence in the body. Instruments such as crystal singing bowls, chimes, and other resonant instruments are used to create soundscapes that invite the nervous system to slow down and settle.

During a session, sound and vibration can help guide attention inward, supporting states of deep rest, reflection, and mindfulness.

Sound healing practices have been used across cultures as part of contemplative and restorative traditions. Many people experience these sessions as calming, grounding, and supportive for overall well-being.

WHAT TO EXPECT

GROUP SOUNDBATHS

Soundbaths are immersive group experiences where participants are surrounded by layers of sound created by instruments such as gongs, Himalayan singing bowls, crystal singing bowls and chimes.

The intention of a soundbath is to create a spacious environment for relaxation and mindful presence. Participants typically lie down or sit comfortably while being bathed in waves of sound.

Soundbaths can be a supportive way to pause, reconnect with the body, and experience deep rest.

Most soundbaths last 60-90 minutes. Wear comfortable clothes and bring a yoga mat or blanket for cushioning. No meditation experience needed—just show up, lie down, and let the sound do the rest.

For those seeking a more active practice, I offer breathwork journeys that combine pranayamic breathing with sound healing. Breath awareness can help bring attention to the body while the sound environment supports relaxation and stillness. This combination can be especially powerful for people who find it hard to settle into meditation.

MY STORY:

Nearly two decades ago, I found myself drawn to a spiritual path that would change the direction of my life.

I completed yoga teacher training, studied mindfulness meditation, and in a pranayamic breathwork class, I first heard the gongs—and fell completely in love. The power of those vibrations, the way they moved through my body and shifted something I couldn't name, pulled me deeper.

That moment led me to follow my curiosity into sound healing. Since 2012, I've deepened my training and continue to study and practice with dedication and reverence for this ancient work.

Sound healing isn't something I do—it's woven into who I am. Whether you're new to this practice or have been on a spiritual path for years, my approach is welcoming, grounded, and centered on your experience. This work is about you—what you need, what wants to move, and what's ready to shift.

frequently asked questions

  • No meditation experience is needed. Sound healing meets you exactly where you are. Your only job is to lie down and receive—the sound does the work for you. Some people fall asleep, some drift into deep relaxation, some feel emotions surface. All of it is welcome.

  • Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothes that allow you to relax completely. Layers are a good idea since your body temperature may shift as you rest. For group soundbaths, bring a yoga mat, blanket, and pillow if you'd like extra cushioning.

  • Some people do fall asleep, and that's perfectly fine. Your body will take what it needs. Even if you're asleep, the sound vibrations are still working on a deep level. Others stay in a dreamlike state between waking and sleeping. There's no wrong way to experience it.

  • It's completely normal for emotions to surface during sound healing—tears, grief, joy, or release. Sound can move what's been stuck, and crying or feeling emotions is often part of the healing process. You're in a safe space, and whatever arises is welcome.

  • Most people feel deeply relaxed, grounded, or lighter after a session. Some feel energized, others feel like they need rest. It's common to feel more connected to your body and emotions. Drink plenty of water afterward and give yourself space to integrate the experience.

  • No, sound healing isn't loud in a jarring way. The gongs can be powerful and immersive, but I'm always mindful of volume and intensity. The sounds are meant to envelop you, not overwhelm you.

If anything ever feels too intense, you can simply adjust your position or move farther away. I also have foam earplugs available if you'd like to soften the experience. You're always in control of your comfort.

  • Yes, sound healing is gentle and non-invasive. However, if you're pregnant, have a pacemaker, metal implants, high blood pressure, stroke, cancer, Meniere's disease or epilepsy, please let me know beforehand so we can discuss any precautions.

  • Individual sessions are $150 for 50 minutes, and group soudbaths range from $30-$50 dollars, check the specific event for details.

I also offer free recorded guided mediations here.

When Your Body Needs More Than a Deep Breath

If you've been carrying a low-grade hum of stress that never quite resolves — no matter what you try — you're not alone, and you're not imagining it. I wrote about why the nervous system gets stuck in that state, and how sound works directly with the body in a way that most other approaches can't.
